For the first 28 days you're suppose to apply it twice a day. After that for maintenance, you only have to apply it once a day. I'm still on my second week of application and I've already seen a difference; longer lashes and lashes growing where I usually didn't have lashes (like closer to the inner corners of my eye). I already started to notice differences within the first week and I thought I was imagining things because I thought it was too soon to see results, but I'm at a point where I'm definitely not imagining things now because of the dramatic difference. I wear mascara pretty much every day along with curling my eyelashes and using eyeliner/eyeshadow. I'm still using mascara while using Talika; I just let the Talika gel dry for several minutes before applying my mascara. It's great that way as a primer. I will definitely buy this product again and keep up with the daily regimen. The first was prompted by the loss of a few lower corner eyelashes and thinning of eyebrow on the same side, probably due to favoring to sleep on that side. It took a few months before I saw a benefit but I believe that constant use of mascara and brow coloring demand conditioning treatment, therefore I use it at night and before application of mascara, etc. Reason for only 3 stars is that the product contains some parabens which are said to be carcinogenic (however most cosmetics do). As I cannot believe that this small quantity would be harmful I decided to continue its use. I'm 41 years old and I began to notice spaces in between my eyelashes. They weren't growing back! This product grew them back in! I took progression pictures from day one to 30 days later and you can see a difference. There were more lashes and so they looked much healthier and thicker. It really is a commitment though! You must apply the product every morning and every night for good results. I agree with other reviewers that state it does take longer than 4 weeks. It's really worth it if you will commit to it!! My lashes look much fuller and thicker, length is still about the same, but they just look so much healthier! If you really want proof that this works, I suggest taking progress pictures.
